Objectives
Objective of participant n° 3 is to develop two synthetic indexes – a Frailty Index and a Functional Activity Index – in order to assess frailty and activity level of both centenarians and offspring born from pairs of sibs having discordant / concordant phenotype as for life span. The Frailty Index aims to assess the individual capability to cope and the Functional Activity Index aims to assess the individual level of activity in the daily life.

Workplan
In collaboration with participant n°4, the conceptual model of the health outcomes will be consolidated, an operational definition of both concepts will be set, and synthetic quantitative indexes will be defined which summarize frailty and functional activity in order to explore the relationships between genes and healthy/unhealthy ageing. Then the data to be collected will be selected. Participant n° 3 will select the French sample and collect the French data. The collaborator of participant n°3 will be formed under the supervision of participant n°4. The blood samples collected will be sent to participant n°2.

Participant n°3 will contribute to WP1, WP2, WP4, WP5 and to deliverables D1-D6, D8- D11.
